About the Journal

The University Department of Health Studies of the University of Split aims to achieve recognition and visibility in the scientific community by establishing a scientific-professional journal named the Croatian Journal of Health Sciences as a means of communication in academia and beyond.

The Croatian Journal of Health Sciences will be published on a bi-annual basis on its website under the Diamond / Platinum Open Access model, which means free access to readers and free publication for authors. The Journal uses the OJS / PKP platform for publishing and workflow. The copyright of all material published is vested in the Croatian Journal of Health Sciences. Articles are available to read, download and share from the time of publication under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. 

The journal will abide by the Code of Conduct for Journal Publishers (COPE; https://publications.org). Also, the Croatian Journal of Health Sciences follows the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICJME; http://www.icmje.org) and the World Association of Medical Editors. - WAMA; https://wame.org)

The journal covers the areas of Biomedicine and Health, Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical Medical Sciences, Public Health and Health Care; Chemistry, Biology, Psychology, Educational and Rehabilitation Sciences, Kinesiology, Social activities, Integrative bioethics (natural, technical, biomedicine and health, biotechnical, social, and human sciences).

The journal publishes original articles, review articles, theoretical and methodological scientific and professional articles from all fields of health sciences as well as case reports, brief reports, clinical and laboratory observations, commentaries, and letters to the editor. All submissions are subject to a double-blind reviewing process. Articles can be written in Croatian with title, abstract and keywords in English, or they can be written in English with title, abstract and keywords in Croatian.
